Beertender

(Full and Part Time)

Job Description:

Beertenders at Back Shed Brewing are to provide exceptional hospitality and memorable experiences to our guests. They are excited about our product and are able to answer questions and help guests learn more about Back Shed Brewing and our beers. All beertenders work to serve our customers in a timely manner and create a clean space for customers to gather and enjoy. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Welcome and engage with customers as they come in our doors

• Pour and Serve Beer in a timely manner

• Process payments for beer and merchandise

• Provide an overview of our beers, answer any questions and demonstrate knowledge and excitement for craft beers

• Clean bar, work areas, and tables

• Communicate clearly and respectfully with coworkers and customers

• Open/Close Back Shed Brewery

• Ensure an exceptional customer experience and whenever necessary resolve concerns using good judgment 

• Adhere to all company policies and safety protocols

Qualifications: 

• Must be 21 years of age or older

• Passionate about craft beer and willing to learn more

• Able to work nights and weekends – must be flexible!

• Excellent communication skills; ability to interact and connect with customers

• Previous experience as a server or bartender is desired, but not required

• Basic mathematical skills; handle money and give correct change

• Strong organizational skills

• Ability to multitask

• Ability to remain on your feet for long periods of time and lift 55+ lbs
